The Czech Ministry of Culture announced that state galleries and museums will be free to the public every first Sunday of the month, starting September 6th and continuing until the end of the year, with the intention of making it a permanent policy. This initiative, spearheaded by Minister of Culture Oto Klempíř, follows previous announcements of free entry to state castles and chateaus on August 30th and September 27th. The move expands upon a successful pilot program conducted earlier this year. This new policy applies to museums and galleries operated by the Ministry of Culture as contributory organizations. A complete list of participating institutions has been published on the Ministry's Facebook page, aiming to broaden cultural access for all citizens. The measure is designed to encourage greater engagement with the nation’s cultural heritage.
