A Czech charity, known as “Gift for Putin,” has funded the purchase of half of Ukraine’s newly acquired trainer aircraft. These planes are crucial for domestic training of future fighter pilots, allowing Ukraine to build its air force capabilities independently. Utilizing these aircraft significantly reduces the cost per flight hour for pilot training compared to previous methods. The initiative highlights international support for Ukraine’s defense efforts and its ability to sustain its military training programs. The charity’s name reflects its stated goal of countering Russian aggression by strengthening Ukraine’s defenses. This procurement enables Ukraine to maintain a continuous pipeline of skilled pilots despite the ongoing conflict. The planes represent a practical and cost-effective solution for bolstering Ukraine’s air force readiness.
