The Chairman of the Association of General Practitioners of the Czech Republic, Petr Šonka, reports successful initial results from the implementation of team-based medical practices, which have been operating for a year and a half. Šonka believes that the majority of practices in the Czech Republic could operate under this model within the next 10 to 15 years. Following a review of the first year, conditions for these team practices will be adjusted. A key element of this shift is financial: doctors forming these teams are anticipated to receive increased bonuses next year. Šonka discussed these developments in an interview with Novinky, highlighting the positive progress and future direction of primary healthcare. The aim is to improve efficiency and potentially service delivery through collaborative care.
