Children in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic became ill after purchasing marijuana laced with the synthetic cannabinoid MDMB-PINACA from readily accessible vending machines. These “Still Chill” machines, located in Olomouc, Brno, and Zlín regions, dispensed the dangerous substance instead of the legal hemp products they were intended to sell. Analysis conducted by Seznam Zprávy confirmed the presence of the banned chemical. Several children required hospitalization after consuming the contaminated marijuana. Police confiscated the contents of the vending machines in June and are currently analyzing the seized materials. The machines are currently empty, and authorities are investigating the source and distribution of the illicit substance. This incident raises concerns about public health and access to dangerous drugs.
