Two young siblings, aged eight and ten and of Bulgarian origin, have died in Cyprus after being left locked in a car. The children were on holiday with their parents when the incident occurred in Xylofagou. Authorities believe the pair were trapped inside the vehicle for an extended period while their parents were at work, exposed to intense heat. Signs of asphyxiation and rigor mortis were observed. Both parents – the father and stepmother – have been arrested in connection with the deaths. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
