A cruise ship, the ‘Ms. Island Sky’ operated by British company Noble Caledonia, docked at Masan Port in Changwon, South Korea. The 4,200-ton vessel brought a group of tourists to the region, aiming to stimulate local tourism. Passengers are scheduled to visit Masan Fish Market, a prominent local attraction known for its fresh seafood and vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, the itinerary includes a tour of Haeinsa Temple, a historically significant Buddhist temple and UNESCO World Heritage site. Local officials anticipate this cruise ship visit will positively impact the regional economy and promote Masan as a desirable tourist destination. This marks a renewed effort to attract international cruise tourism to the port city following pandemic-related disruptions. The visit is expected to be the first of several planned cruise ship calls to Masan this year.
