The Constitutional Chamber has already resolved 12,327 claims in the current year, 2026, demonstrating a continued high volume of cases. This escalating trend suggests potential systemic issues within the healthcare system. Experts believe the increase is linked to longer wait times for procedures and medications, as well as difficulties in obtaining necessary medical attention. The significant rise highlights a critical need to address healthcare access challenges in Costa Rica.
