A six-hour clash between two groups vying for control of a microbus stand in Kishoreganj’s Bhairab disrupted traffic on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. The conflict began around 6:30 PM on Wednesday and led to a complete standstill of vehicles on both the Dhaka-Sylhet and Bhairab-Mymensingh routes. Police intervened late Wednesday night, at approximately 12:30 AM, successfully bringing the situation under control. Following the restoration of order, vehicular movement on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway was resumed. The cause of the dispute centers around control of the local microbus stand. Authorities have not yet released information regarding any injuries or arrests stemming from the incident. The disruption caused significant delays for travelers along the major highway.
