Several representatives from the citizen initiative in Našice, opposing the incineration of non-hazardous waste from Gospić at the “Nexe” cement plant, have gathered outside the facility. The group is mobilizing to organize shifts and maintain a presence at the site. This protest stems from concerns regarding the environmental impact of burning waste material within the cement production process. Residents of Našice fear potential pollution and health risks associated with the planned incineration. Organizers intend to maintain a constant vigil to raise awareness and pressure the cement plant and authorities. The initiative hopes to halt the practice of using waste from Gospić as fuel.
