A previously unknown connection has emerged between Andrés Jana Linetzky, legal counsel for the University of Chile in the Sartor case, and David Jana Bitrán, a financial advisor involved with Azul Azul. The two men are cousins and business partners. Linetzky was hired by the university to review the naming rights agreement with the football club, while Bitrán advised Michael Clark during a failed attempt to sell Azul Azul’s controlling company. Their link to the former president of the University of Chile, Patrick Kiblinsky, further complicates matters. While the familial and business relationship doesn’t automatically constitute a conflict of interest, it raises questions about potential communication regarding their respective roles in the case. David Jana confirmed the family tie and a shared real estate venture. Both men have been contacted for further comment regarding potential coordination.
