A post-mortem report confirms nine-year-old Hania Ahmed, an Australian national, died from eleven gunshot wounds sustained during a shooting in Chakwal, Pakistan. The incident occurred Wednesday night when Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel opened fire on the family’s vehicle, mistakenly believing they were robbers. Hania died at the scene, while her father and brother were critically injured; her mother was unharmed. The autopsy, conducted at DHQ Hospital Chakwal, revealed wounds to the chest, abdomen, thighs, and arm, consistent with AK-47 fire. Hania’s father, Adeel Ahmed, alleges the CCD officers pursued them and attempted to cover up the crime, claiming senior officials are obstructing the investigation. The case has sparked outrage in both Pakistan and Australia. Ahmed further stated that the officers would have killed the entire family if they had been caught.
