The Catholic Church in Uruguay is requesting national collaboration to cover the expenses related to Pope Leo XIV’s upcoming visit. A national collection will be held this Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th, to fund the organization, infrastructure, and services required for the visit. Funds will be allocated to various logistical aspects of hosting the Pope. To further facilitate contributions, bank accounts have been opened at the Banco de la República Oriental del Uruguay (BROU). Church officials hope the Uruguayan public will generously support this endeavor to ensure a successful visit from Pope Leo XIV. The appeal emphasizes the need for collective effort to properly welcome and accommodate the pontiff. This financial drive aims to minimize the burden on Church resources and maximize the positive impact of the papal visit to Uruguay.
