Authorities in Casablanca have resolved a period of disruption and overcrowding at the city’s port following protests led by transportation professionals. Acting on instructions from the Governor of Casablanca-Settat region, local officials in the Anfa prefecture issued a directive to alleviate congestion. The decision involves opening Gate No. 4 to allow access for professionals in the transport sector. This measure aims to address the issues raised by protestors regarding port access and efficiency. The directive, identified as General Decision No. 15/2026, seeks to normalize operations at the crucial port facility. The resolution follows a period of significant delays and logistical challenges caused by the protests.
