A recent “Battle of Outfits” event at the Nuevo Circo in Caracas drew thousands of young people embracing unique and unconventional fashion. Attendees opted for pseudonyms and drew inspiration from diverse sources including high fashion designers like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, as well as anime and popular series such as Game of Thrones. The event, now in its fourth iteration, was founded by six content creators aiming to foster a space for culture, belonging, and inclusion. According to co-founder Patricia Vielma, the movement has grown beyond the capacity of a single city. The event prioritized self-expression and a judgment-free environment, allowing participants to showcase their individual styles. The “Battle of Outfits” highlights a growing subculture within Caracas centered around creative fashion and community building.
