The Europe branch of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) has issued a statement strongly supporting its national president, Maurice Kamto, and the resolutions of the National Council from September 6, 2025. This comes over a year after Kamto's exclusion from the October 12, 2025 presidential election. The MRC officials denounce what they describe as a politically and judicially motivated campaign against Kamto and the party, citing acts of destabilization by the current government and its allies. The declaration focuses heavily on the invalidation of Kamto’s candidacy, a decision made by the Constitutional Council following an initial rejection by ELECAM due to “plurality of investitures” within MANIDEM. The MRC alleges this decision resulted from “cybercrime” by the MINAT and constitutes a “coup d'état” against their party. They also accuse a member of the RDPC of initiating legal challenges against the MRC's leadership, reversing accusations of wrongdoing.
