The Littoral region of Cameroon will now centralize the collection of non-tax revenues from sectors including arms, gambling, entertainment, and private security. This change stems from a recent decision by the Ministry of Finance, aiming to streamline payment procedures. Previously, these revenues were collected through various channels; now, payments must be made directly to the Governor’s Services’ revenue registry. The decision, formalized on May 12, 2026, appoints revenue collectors for central MINAT services, Governor's offices, and Prefectures. The initiative intends to harmonize revenue collection and improve administrative management of these specific funds. The Governor of the Littoral region is urging all affected operators to comply with the new regulations and calls for collaborative implementation. The Ministry of Territorial Administration (MINAT) remains responsible for assessing and authorizing these revenues.
