The fourth France Alumni Day, focused on “Alumni at the Heart of One Health Challenges,” was held in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on June 11, 2026. The event brought together alumni educated in France, researchers, and institutional actors to discuss innovative solutions to global health issues. The Centre Pasteur du Cameroun (CPC) played a prominent role, with several scientists actively participating and presenting research. Dr. Sara Eyangoh, CPC’s Scientific Director and a France alumna, served as the event’s patron and encouraged young scientists to embrace determination, resilience, and open-mindedness. Researchers from the CPC showcased projects like RACE, focused on rabies control, and the PLaCARD platform, a decision-support tool for One Health initiatives. A young researcher also shared her experiences with international scientific mobility and the challenges of academic integration abroad. The CPC’s participation underscored its commitment to training young talent and fostering scientific cooperation.
