Cameroon’s National Center for Agricultural and Mechanized Studies (CENEEMA) has completed a 400 million FCFA seed farm project in Ngouang, exceeding initial targets by developing 123 hectares. Financed through the PIISAH program and led by RBH GROUP Sarl, the farm will focus on producing hybrid maize and soybean seeds to decrease reliance on imports. The facility, located in the Mbam-et-Kim region, showcases technological advancements for local farmers, featuring mechanized equipment for land clearing, plowing, and precision planting. CENEEMA aims to create an integrated hub providing quality inputs to surrounding agricultural areas, boosting yields and stimulating local economies through job creation and trade. The project is a key component of the government’s strategy for agricultural sovereignty and food self-sufficiency, aligned with the SND30 national development plan. The farm's progress was recently inspected by government officials and local leaders, formally receiving approval from a joint MINADER-MINMAP-CENEEMA commission.
