The National Port Authority (APN) of Cameroon and the Cameroonian Institute of International Relations (IRIC) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to bolster the port sector. The accord, formalized in Yaoundé, aims to bridge the gap between academia and the realities of the port, maritime, and logistics industries. Key areas of cooperation include applied research, staff capacity building within the APN, exchange of expertise, and student internships linked to practical needs. Through this collaboration, the APN seeks to leverage academic insight to improve performance and adapt to evolving maritime demands. The partnership will focus on developing relevant skills and strengthening the APN's role in national port governance. This initiative represents a significant step in the APN’s ongoing modernization strategy.
