Cameroon’s Ministry of Secondary Education has announced a new electronic payment system for school registration fees and exam costs, effective August 24, 2026, for the 2026/2027 academic year. Parents and students can now pay these fees online using a student’s unique identification number, or "matricule." Students in first grade, Form One, and the first year must have their matricules generated by their respective schools. Schools are also required to finalize end-of-year class reports on the "cartescolaire.cm" platform. The system aims to streamline payments, improve security, and prevent fraud. Entrance exam fees for certain schools require the use of the school’s code instead of the student's matricule.
