Cameroon and Turkey have signed a military and financial agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations. The agreement, formalized by the defense ministers of both countries in Ankara, focuses on enhancing financial and military collaboration in areas of mutual interest. It encompasses both financial and operational plans, building upon existing bilateral relations. Cameroon’s Defense Minister, Joseph Beti Assomo, also visited the Turkish National University, where Cameroonian military personnel are currently receiving training. Discussions during the visit centered on expanding military cooperation, developing Cameroonian armed forces personnel, and deepening strategic ties. This agreement follows a June 12th meeting between the Cameroonian Defense Minister and the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon to review progress in defense cooperation and the implementation of existing agreements.
