A 40 million CFA franc (approximately $65,000 USD) donation has been made to the hemodialysis center at Bafoussam Regional Hospital in Cameroon. The funds, announced by National Assembly President Théodore Datouo and delivered via the West Region Governor, aim to improve the quality of care for patients with renal insufficiency. The check was formally presented to both the Governor and the hospital’s management committee. Authorities emphasized the importance of transparent fund management, prioritizing patient care improvements. Hospital director, Dr. Jean Marie Ndjip, expressed gratitude for the “unexpected and hopeful” gesture. This donation fulfills a promise made following Datouo’s election as National Assembly President, reflecting a commitment to humanitarian aid within the West Region and potentially across Cameroon.
