Over 80 students from two primary schools in Siem Reap’s Run Ta Ek resettlement community began swimming lessons on June 15th. The classes, organized by HTK, focus on building water confidence and teaching essential swimming strokes. The program also emphasizes crucial water safety awareness and practical skills. This initiative aims to reduce drowning risks among children in the community. The lessons represent the latest rollout of HTK’s swimming program, continuing efforts to equip young Cambodians with vital water safety knowledge. The program provides a critical service in a region where access to swimming education can be limited.
