Ninety-one Bangladeshi citizens have returned home from Cambodia over the past two days after being rescued from cyber scam operations. Fifty-four victims arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday, June 13th, via Thai Airways, following the return of 37 individuals on Friday, June 12th. These individuals were reportedly held in various cyber scam compounds within Cambodia. Upon arrival, all returnees received immediate assistance at the airport, including financial support for transportation home, provided by BRAC’s Migration Programme. The program is assisting with reintegration efforts following their ordeal. Authorities continue working to bring back additional citizens believed to be trapped in similar situations abroad. The rescued individuals had been lured with promises of lucrative employment opportunities.
