Cambodia’s Ministry of Interior has partnered with telecommunications operator Metfone to launch a public awareness campaign focused on bolstering cyber safety. The initiative, titled “Behind the Truth,” utilizes a video series depicting realistic online fraud scenarios. These videos aim to educate citizens on identifying and avoiding prevalent cyber threats, including impersonation, romance scams, and deepfake technology exploitation. The campaign specifically addresses risks associated with phishing links and unauthorized account access on digital platforms. Authorities hope the series will empower the public to navigate the digital landscape more securely and mitigate financial and personal losses due to online scams. The collaboration signifies a proactive approach to combating the increasing sophistication of cybercrime within the country.
