Cabo Delgado’s governor, Valige Tauabo, has called on investors operating in the province to strictly adhere to security protocols established by defense and security forces to safeguard counter-terrorism progress. The appeal came during the closing of the International Conference on Industrialization and Agribusiness in Cabo Delgado, which brought together national and international business leaders. Tauabo emphasized that sustained stability and security are crucial for ongoing development projects in the region, advocating for close collaboration between investors and security authorities. He stressed the importance of preserving recent gains against terrorism through preventative measures and compliance with official guidance. Former governors highlighted the need for greater local community involvement in economic and social development programs, ensuring investments directly benefit residents. The ruling FRELIMO party’s representative also underscored the importance of social inclusion for sustainable progress in Cabo Delgado, with approximately 300 delegates from neighboring countries participating in the conference.
