On October 7th, the Bình Châu Border Guard Post, part of the Hồ Chí Minh City Border Guard Force, collaborated with the Bình Châu commune People’s Committee to host a conference on legal documents related to fisheries exploitation. The event aimed to educate 100 vessel owners and captains operating in the Bình Châu area. The initiative focused on disseminating information regarding regulations necessary to address the ‘yellow card’ warning issued to Việt Nam's seafood industry. This support is intended to help local fishermen comply with international fishing standards and contribute to the removal of the warning. By improving compliance, the Bình Châu Border Guard aims to promote sustainable fishing practices and protect the reputation of Vietnamese seafood exports. The collaboration demonstrates a proactive approach to supporting the livelihoods of local fishermen while also upholding national commitments to responsible fisheries management in Hồ Chí Minh City.
