A bus collector for Tata, identified as Ameth M., was arrested at the SENELEC agency in Yoff after allegedly attacking a cleaning woman. The incident occurred on Monday around 6:30 am, when Ameth M. reportedly entered the agency and locked himself in a room with the employee, demanding her belongings. When she screamed for help, he allegedly attacked her with a fire extinguisher and physically assaulted her. Two security guards intervened and subdued the collector before handing him over to the Foire Gendarmerie. Ameth M., described as having a prior record, denied the accusations but offered no plausible explanation for his presence at the SENELEC agency. He was brought before the prosecutor on Wednesday and is being charged with attempted robbery with violence and assault related to the incident at the SENELEC agency in Yoff.
