The current Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bulgaria held its final meeting, marking the end of its four-year mandate from 2021-2026. During this period, the commission oversaw a total of ten national elections. Seven of these were parliamentary elections for the National Assembly, while the remaining three determined the President and Vice President of the Republic. The CEC’s work involved the complex organization and execution of these polls, ensuring the democratic process was followed. This concludes the term for the current members of the commission, paving the way for a new body to be appointed. The outgoing commission’s tenure was notably active, reflecting a period of political change and frequent elections in Bulgaria. Their final meeting served as a formal closure to their responsibilities.
