National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary has called for a unified, non-partisan approach to border security issues. He argued that simply erecting fences, similar to India’s, will not resolve the problems faced along the border. Patwary proposed providing military training to people living in border areas as a more effective security measure. He made these remarks at a program held on Wednesday, June 24th, on Topkhana Road in Dhaka. The discussion centered on border killings, push-ins, and related concerns. Patwary emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy that empowers local communities to contribute to their own protection. He believes this approach would be more sustainable than relying solely on physical barriers.
