Construction of a Thai-Cambodian border fence in Chanthaburi province is currently 45% complete, according to the Thai army. A parliamentary security committee recently inspected the ongoing project and addressed public concerns regarding visible gaps in the structure. Officials clarified that these gaps are temporary and part of the phased construction process. The committee, led by Monthian Songpracha, assessed the progress and reviewed security measures along the border. The fence aims to enhance border security and prevent illegal activities. Further construction is planned to close the remaining sections and fully secure the frontier. The project’s completion date remains unspecified.
