Following a search of the residence of Karol Nawrocki, Robert Bąkiewicz, leader of the Border Defense Group (Ruch Obrony Granic), criticized the actions of the State Protection Service (SOP). Bąkiewicz announced his organization would deploy its own patrols to safeguard the President near the Belvedere Palace. The President’s Chancellery responded to inquiries, stating it did not request additional protection from the Border Defense Group. Officials emphasized their high regard for the professionalism of the SOP. The intervention at Nawrocki’s home prompted Bąkiewicz’s pledge, framing it as a necessary measure to ensure presidential security. The Chancellery’s statement clarifies the situation, distancing the office from Bąkiewicz’s initiative and reaffirming trust in existing security protocols.
