Modou Diop, known as “Momo” and a bodyguard for Ousmane Sonko, a prominent opposition figure, has publicly addressed a recent burglary at his home. The incident occurred during preparations for a Pastef party congress, and approximately 2 million CFA francs intended for his cousin’s construction work were stolen. Police in Keur Massar have apprehended a suspect in connection with the robbery. Momo initially considered selling property to replace the stolen funds but learned the suspect had previously targeted others. After police confirmed the suspect’s history, and discovering the money had already been spent, Momo decided against pursuing further legal action. He shared his account on Facebook in response to public discussion surrounding the event, emphasizing his desire to resolve the matter discreetly.
