The body of 5-year-old Tyméo Brigou, missing since late June in Belgium, has likely been found in a wooded area near Onhaye. Tyméo disappeared with his father, Bryan, 29, and their car was discovered near a football club shortly after. Despite extensive searches, neither had been located until yesterday morning when a body was discovered approximately two kilometers from the car. The boy’s grandmother believes the clothing on the body matches what Tyméo was wearing when he vanished. An autopsy is scheduled to confirm the identity and determine the cause of death. Authorities state the difficult terrain, dense with bushes and brambles, hindered earlier searches, but new information from re-examined witness statements led to the discovery. Tyméo’s father remains missing, and police are investigating a possible connection to the father’s reported drug issues and fears for his son's safety.
