A man’s body was discovered in Treinta y Tres, Uruguay, following the retreat of floodwaters in the Olimar River. The remains were located amongst bushes on municipal land previously submerged by the rising water levels. Authorities made the discovery as floodwaters receded, revealing areas previously hidden. The body has been transferred to the Forensic Technical Institute in Montevideo for examination and to determine the cause of death. No further information regarding the identity of the deceased has been released at this time. Investigations are underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
