Four bodyguards of National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi have been released on bail by the Masaka High Court. The judge, Victoria Nakintu Katamba, granted bail to Edward Ssebuwuufu, also known as Eddie Mutwe, Achilleo Kivumbi, and Grace Wakabi. Despite the release, two other bodyguards will continue to be held in custody. These remaining two face separate charges that are being handled by a different court. The bail hearing took place at the Masaka High Court on Wednesday. The situation highlights the ongoing legal challenges faced by individuals associated with the opposition leader in Uganda.
