The president of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), a student wing, has accused the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) of responsibility for the murder of ICS leader Saifullah. Noorul Islam stated the brutal attack in Gaibandha is not representative of healthy political practice. He warned that if the BNP does not abandon what he termed “politics of murder,” the public will ostracize them, similar to how they have allegedly done with the ruling Awami League. Islam characterized the attack as cowardly and barbaric. The accusation follows the death of Saifullah, a prominent student activist. This incident raises concerns about escalating political violence and the potential for further unrest in the region.
