The King and Queen of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Jetsun Pema, offered condolences to Thailand following the death of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati. The Bhutanese royals visited the Grand Palace in Bangkok on Thursday morning to pay their respects. They laid a wreath at Pimarn Rattaya Hall, where the princess’s funerary urn was placed. The royal couple also signed the book of condolence at Rajakaranya, expressing their sympathy to the Thai royal family and the nation. Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the eldest daughter of Thailand’s King Maha Vajiralongkorn, collapsed and lost consciousness in December, later passing away. Her death has prompted a period of national mourning in Thailand.
