The temporary pool, costing €300,000, was scheduled to be closed to the general public for six hours on August 14th for the event. Organizers initially justified the exclusive access by citing security concerns, explaining that Black children and teenagers had previously experienced right-wing and racist harassment during swimming events. However, the decision to limit access sparked a broader controversy over segregation. Despite the intent to create a safe space, the pool administration ultimately chose to cancel the event.
