A decades-long battle to save a uniquely designed playground in Tapiola, Espoo, may be lost, as demolition plans advance. Mika Trapnowski and Helena Mussalo-Rauhamaa have spearheaded the effort to preserve the architecturally significant play area for twenty years. The playground, designed by an architect, has become a cherished community space. Despite their sustained advocacy, the future of the playground is now uncertain. Local residents fear the loss of a valuable recreational resource. The planned demolition represents the potential end of a long-running community campaign.
