A bear was shot and killed on the Transfăgărășan mountain road in Romania after attacking a Swiss tourist near the Vidraru Dam. The intervention was carried out by foresters from the Argeș Forestry Directorate, following a decision by the local commission. Gendarmerie officers and local authorities also provided support during the operation. The incident occurred as a result of the bear posing an immediate threat to human safety.
