The government is committed to developing a technology and knowledge-based healthcare sector, focusing on the implementation of ‘e-health cards’. This move signals a departure from traditional “pet projects” centered on building large facilities. The announcement was made at an event co-hosted by Bangladesh Health Watch and ARC Foundation in Dhaka on Sunday. The focus on e-health cards aims to improve healthcare access and efficiency through digital solutions. Details regarding the budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 were also expected to be discussed at the event. This strategy reflects a broader commitment to modernizing healthcare delivery in Bangladesh.
