Leaders of the New Democratic Party in Bangladesh, including Chairman Momin Mehedi and Senior Vice Chairman Shanta Farjana, have been sent to jail in a terrorism case. The decision came on Wednesday following an application by the investigation officer to Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Kamal Uddin. Six individuals have been incarcerated as part of the case filed under Bangladesh's Anti-Terrorism Act. Other accused sent to jail include Vice Chairman Nur Jahan Nira, among others. Police Sub-Inspector Shah Alam of the prosecution department confirmed the order. The case is currently under investigation, and further details are pending release.
