Bangladesh’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Aminul Haque, has announced a comprehensive investigation into 17 years of alleged corruption within the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The minister stated that no irregularities, whether in cricket or football, will be tolerated. The investigation will focus on accusations of misconduct and corruption leveled against the BCB over the past 17 years, as well as the last eighteen months. Haque affirmed a commitment to a fully corruption-free sporting environment in Bangladesh. Those found guilty will be prosecuted under the law, signaling a firm stance against malfeasance.
