Rail Baltica, a major infrastructure project connecting the Baltic states with Europe, has commenced the production of turnouts – essential components for railway tracks – at voestalpine Railway Systems’ facility in Valčiūnai, Lithuania. This milestone signifies progress in the construction of the railway line. The production start was marked with a symbolic event attended by representatives from Rail Baltica and voestalpine. These turnouts will be crucial for ensuring smooth and efficient rail traffic along the future route. Voestalpine will deliver a significant number of these specialized track components for the project.
