Balochistan province has announced its Rs206 billion (approximately $770 million USD) Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the fiscal year 2026-27, presented alongside the provincial budget. The plan prioritizes sectors including multi-sectoral development, highways, energy, and urban development. A significant Rs48 billion has been allocated to the multi-sectoral development category, aiming to address a range of provincial needs. The budget also focuses on improving infrastructure with substantial funds dedicated to highways and roads. Energy projects are slated to receive Rs30 billion, reflecting a commitment to addressing the province’s energy demands. The government aims to stimulate economic growth and improve living standards through these investments, with a total budget outlay of Rs685 billion. The plan was unveiled as part of broader efforts to foster development and address socio-economic challenges within Balochistan.
