Ankara’s Etimesgut Airport will officially reopen as “Ankara Airport” on Monday, June 15th, according to Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. The airport will be utilized for the upcoming NATO Summit scheduled for next month. Uraloğlu announced the reopening date, signaling the facility’s readiness for international use. The name change reflects a broader designation for the capital city’s air travel hub. This development aims to enhance accessibility and accommodate increased air traffic anticipated with the summit. The airport’s infrastructure has been upgraded to meet international standards. The reopening is expected to contribute to improved transportation links for Ankara and the surrounding region.
