The ANAMOLA party has commenced its inaugural National Convention in Nampula, Mozambique, with a march and rally marking the opening. The convention’s primary objectives are to elect the party’s leadership and approve guiding documents for future activities. Discussions over the next two days will focus on internal regulations and statutes, with a focus on responsible debate. Participants will then vote on these documents and elect the party president, National Council, and Executive Commission. Currently, Venâncio Mondlane is the sole candidate for the presidency. The convention will also feature speeches from national and international guests, including a remote address by Kenyan academic Patrick Lumumba. The event is scheduled to conclude on Monday with the announcement of the newly elected leadership.
