Amsterdam is constructing a temporary 300-meter-long tribune along the Canal Parade route for the upcoming WorldPride event, marking the first time paid seating has been offered. The “temporary stadium” will accommodate 10,000 spectators, with ticket prices ranging from 15 to 275 euros. While residents can watch for free, or from their homes, most tickets cost between 35 and 200 euros, with some already sold out. Construction has caused early morning disruption for some locals and tourists, though some residents are optimistic about the event’s impact. The parade remains free to view from the canalside as in previous years, starting at noon on Saturday. This initiative aims to offer a unique viewing experience during the globally recognized WorldPride celebration.
