A new chapter begins for Algerian expertise abroad with the creation of the High Council of Algerian Scientists Established Overseas. Leading figures such as Belkacem Haba, Yasmine Belkaid, Elias Zerhouni, and Karim Zeghib, along with dozens of others, have expressed their eagerness for this opportunity to serve Algeria. The initiative aims to leverage the skills and knowledge of Algerian scientists living outside Algeria for the country’s benefit. This council signals a commitment to humility and collaboration, recognizing the value of the diaspora’s contributions. The move is expected to foster a stronger connection between Algeria and its scientists internationally.
